Two Designers, One Vision

A colorful collaboration you'll love

Back in July (which, doesn’t that feel forever ago?!), Alyson from Solo Jewelry and I met for a coffee and a sandwich at one of our favorite local bakeries, to talk about doing a collaboration together. Alyson is just one of those people, that when you’re with her, you instantly feel brightened, uplifted, shiny! She’s a cup filler, style icon and creates the most gorgeous jewelry collections. She bought a box full of example necklaces and laid them out on the table and many a passer-by oggled at their gorgeousness.

We talked shape, size, color and how to make sure we got a real blend of both Solo and Shapes For The People. The ideas came instantly and we knew then and there that this was going to be a glorious collaboration. And not only that, but it was obvious from the get go that we were going to work brilliantly together. And I wasn’t wrong. It’s been an absolute joy seeing these designs come to life, and Alyson’s expertise in action! What a privilege and a delight to work alongside someone so brilliant.

So, after months of collaboration and about one hundred thousand texts and emails between us, The Solo x Shapes For The People collection is here!

It really feels like such a great mix of the two of us; Alyson’s great selection of color and texture, and my signature black and white stripes and fun color combinations. I don’t think either of us could be happier.

The collection consists of two necklaces which you can order in various lengths. The two necklaces can also be joined together to create one long necklace for a chunky layered look, which, as you can imagine, I’m a huge fan of!

The two designs have very different personalities and we named them accordingly.

First up, Tutti Frutti. Named for her juicy, saturated, bright pops of color.

And then we have Block Party. Bold, full of contrast, but simple and easy to pair with at the same time.
